for Devil Dirt Products

The First Thing to Understand, is that Devil Dirt is an Essential Additive!

Most topsoil or garden soil is too dense and heavy for your potted plants. If you use regular soil from your garden, over time the soil can become compacted in the pots. This can suffocate the roots, and you don’t want that. Keep your roots healthy with Jersey Devil Dirt. Read on for the dirty details on how to use and store your Devil Dirt.

How to Use Our Soil Additive – The Devil Dirt Easy Method

Once you open your bag of Devil Dirt, you will get a foul smell coming out of the bag. This is normal, the smell goes away after mixing. Always mix with organic potting soil. Here’s how you go about mixing and preparing your soil.

Line the bottom of a 5 gallon container with 4 inches of potting soil
Spread an even layer of Devil Dirt approximately 1/3 inches thick.
Add potting soil to get your container 1/3 full
Add Devil Dirt on top, topping off with soil
If starting a seed, leave a center, the size of a 16 oz cup, where you will place your seedling or organic soil

How to Store Your Devil Dirt

Store your Devil Dirt in a cool, dark place. If it needs rejuvenation after storage, add some chlorine free water to moisten around 7 to 10 days, before planting, keeping the storage temperature at around 69 degrees.

Each package is good for a 5-gallon container.

How Often Should You Change Your Indoor Plant Soil?

Your plants will benefit from being re-potted every 12 to 18 months. Pay attention to how they are actively growing. Slow-growing plants can stay in the same pot for years and only require soil replenishment. Jersey Devil Dirt is designed and formulated to feed your plant everything it needs to grow healthy and yield the results you want.
